Our Philosophy

At Golden Gate Capital, our long-term orientation and focus on building businesses of enduring value serve as the core foundation for our focus on responsible investing, DE&I, and community engagement.

DEI Policies 05-rc1

Responsible Investing

Particularly in light of our long-term orientation and business-building strategy, we believe that environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues can affect the performance of our portfolio companies. We believe that sound management of these issues may contribute positively to returns to our investors in addition to driving a positive societal and environmental impact.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I)

Golden Gate Capital believes that an environment rich in different backgrounds, perspectives, ideas, and experiences can enhance our business decisions and positively impact our communities. In addition to working to cultivate a diverse environment through our talent recruitment efforts, our cultural focus on inclusion and talent development drives an ongoing commitment to these efforts.

Community Engagement

The Golden Gate Capital team cares deeply about the community in which we work and aims to help positively shape the future of our industry. We are engaged in a number of partnerships to support the advancement of under-represented backgrounds in the alternative investments space, including a long-standing partnership with Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO). We also aspire to enrich the communities where both we and our portfolio companies do business and where our employees live and work. Through our Golden Gate Capital Gives Back donation matching program as well as additional annual philanthropic support, we are proud to support a wide array of nonprofit organizations and causes in partnership with our employees.

Program Leadership and Governance

Golden Gate Capital’s dedicated ESG and DE&I Committee (the “Committee”) is a focused committee seeking to advance our ESG and DE&I functions at both a firm-level and across Golden Gate Capital portfolio companies. The Committee is comprised of professionals across multiple operational areas within the organization with representation from individuals on the Investment, Legal, Compliance, Investor Relations, and Talent teams. The Committee meets regularly and works alongside leadership and the investment teams to execute on Golden Gate Capital’s ESG and DE&I policies.
