Golden Gate Capital has assembled a premier team of private equity professionals. Our Managing Directors have spent the last fifteen years systematically analyzing, structuring and investing in (i) both general industry and technology buyouts, and (ii) earlier stage companies.



David Dominik

David Dominik

David Dominik is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital. He has extensive private equity investment and operational experience, especially in a broad range of technology-related industries. Prior to Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Dominik spent ten years as a managing director at Bain Capital where he was responsible for managing Information Partners, a specialized fund within Bain Capital that focused on software, information services, and transaction processing companies serving a broad range of end markets. Mr. Dominik also built several scale companies in the semiconductor and electronics industries. Mr. Dominik also served on the investment committee of Brookside, Bain Capital's public equity hedge fund. In addition, Mr. Dominik opened and ran the California office for Bain Capital. Previously, Mr. Dominik was a partner at Zero Stage Capital, an early stage technology venture capital firm where he helped co-found several successful technology ventures. He was an early investor and assistant to the chairman of Genzyme Corporation. He also served as a Consultant at Bain & Company. Mr. Dominik has a J.D. from Harvard Law School (cum laude) and an A.B. from Harvard College (magna cum laude; Phi Beta Kappa).



Prescott Ashe

Prescott Ashe

Prescott Ashe is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital. He has 15-years of private equity investing experience and has participated in both growth-equity and management buyout transactions with more than $10.0 billion in value. Mr. Ashe focuses on (i) technology-related industries (specifically software, IT services, electronic hardware and manufacturing services), (ii) the consumer products and retail sectors, and (iii) business services. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Ashe was a Principal at Bain Capital, which he initially joined in 1991, and a strategy consultant at Bain & Company. Mr. Ashe holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley (where he graduated first in his class).



Ken Diekroeger

Ken Diekroeger

Ken Diekroeger is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital. Since 1990, Ken has been investing as a private equity professional in a variety of industries. At Golden Gate he focuses on consumer products, financial services, electronics and semiconductor equipment. Prior to Golden Gate Capital, Ken was a managing director at American Industrial Partners which led operationally-intensive, industrial buyouts. Early in his career, Ken invested in numerous consumer product companies while at The Shansby Group. He started his career as a strategy consultant at Bain and Company. Ken received his BS in Industrial Engineering (where he graduated first in his engineering class) and his MBA (Arjay Miller Scholar) at Stanford University.



Stefan Kaluzny

Stefan Kaluzny

Stefan Kaluzny is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital. Prior to Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Kaluzny conceived and co-founded Delray Farms, a Hispanic specialty food company. At Delray Farms, he led the growth of the company from a startup to $100 Million in 3 years. At Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Kaluzny has focused on transactions in several sectors including software, semiconductors, information services, consumer products and retailing. Previously, Mr. Kaluzny was a Consultant at Bain & Company, where he worked as part of the private equity group. Prior to joining Bain & Company, Mr. Kaluzny was an Associate with the LEK Partnership and President of K-Software International. Mr. Kaluzny has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar) and a B.A. in History from Yale University. Mr. Kaluzny serves on the Yale University Investment Committee.



Rajeev Amara

Rajeev Amara

Rajeev Amara is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital, which he joined in 2000. At Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Amara focuses on the industrials sector. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Amara worked as an investment banker with the Los Angeles office of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. At DLJ, Mr. Amara completed a large number of transactions including high yield financings, public and private equity offerings, leveraged buyouts and mergers and acquisitions. He holds a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (magna cum laude).


John Knoll

John Knoll

John Knoll is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital, which he joined in 2000. He is focused on the broader electronics sector, including semiconductor devices and equipment, electronic manufacturing, and technology end markets including enterprise hardware, telecommunications services and equipment, aerospace and defense, and test and measurement devices. Prior to Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Knoll spent four years as a Consultant with Bain & Company, where he worked in technology, media, telecommunications, and the private equity advisory group. Mr. Knoll's work experience also includes product management responsibilities at DSL provider Covad Communications and software development for Kawasaki Heavy Industries in Japan. Mr. Knoll holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a M.S. and B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.



Jake Mizrahi

Jake Mizrahi

Jake Mizrahi is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital, which he joined in 2003. Mr. Mizrahi focuses on technology and business services transactions. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Mizrahi was a founding executive at iPhrase Technologies, a software company which was subsequently purchased by IBM. During Mr. Mizrahi's tenure at iPhrase, the company established a leadership position in the enterprise search software market with a blue-chip customer base and the highest growth rates in sales and profitability in the industry. Previously, Mr. Mizrahi was an investment professional at Bain Capital, where he was involved in successful transactions in the technology and business services, and retail sectors. Mr. Mizrahi has also worked as a Consultant at Bain & Company earlier in his career. He holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology(Phi Beta Kappa).


Josh Olshansky

Josh Olshansky

Josh Olshansky is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital, which he joined in 2002. At Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Olshansky focuses on transactions in several sectors including retail, restaurants, direct marketing and consumer products. Prior to Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Olshansky held senior positions in two entrepreneurial operating environments. He served as Vice President, Corporate Development with RightOrder, Inc. and Vice President, Business Development at Ventro Corporation, a NASDAQ-traded company. Prior to Ventro, Mr. Olshansky held positions at Bain Capital, Inc. and at Bain & Company. He has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, with Distinction, and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics, University of Pennsylvania, (Magna Cum Laude).


Rishi Chandna

Rishi Chandna

Rishi Chandna is a Principal of Golden Gate Capital, which he joined in 2002. At Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Chandna focuses on investments in several sectors including technology, business, and government services, as well as technology end markets, including aerospace and defense, telecommunications, test and measurement devices, and electronic manufacturing. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Chandna worked as an Associate Consultant in the Los Angeles office of Bain & Company. Previously, Mr. Chandna also worked at Parnassus Investments, a San Francisco based mutual fund. Mr. Chandna has an M.B.A from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.‬


John Gilligan

John Gilligan

John Gilligan is a Principal of Golden Gate Capital, which he joined in 2001, and now focuses on investments in the software, healthcare, health/wellness, and direct sales sectors. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Gilligan worked as an Associate Consultant in the San Francisco office of Bain & Company. Previously, Mr. Gilligan served as Director of Business Development at Smarter Living, a Cambridge, MA-based start-up focusing on the travel and leisure industry. Mr. Gilligan has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a A.B. in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Harvard College (summa cum laude; Phi Beta Kappa).


Felix Lo

Felix Lo

Felix Lo is a Principal of Golden Gate Capital, which he joined in 2004. At Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Lo focuses on private equity investments in the broader electronics sector, including semiconductors, telecommunications, and enterprise hardware. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Lo worked as an investment professional at Bain Capital and as a consultant at Bain & Company. Mr. Lo has an A.B. in Public Policy from Brown University.






Peter Morrow

Peter Morrow

Peter Morrow is a Principal of Golden Gate Capital, which he joined in 2002. At Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Morrow focuses on transactions in several sectors including consumer products, multi-channel retail, travel and leisure, and real estate services. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Morrow worked as an Associate Consultant in the San Francisco office of Bain & Company. Prior to Bain, Mr. Morrow worked with Latin American-focused investment group Explorador Capital and previously, was involved in several entrepreneurial ventures. Mr. Morrow has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University.




Doug Bayerd

Doug Bayerd

Doug Bayerd joined Golden Gate Capital in 2008. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Bayerd worked as an Associate in the Principal Opportunities Group at Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. Previously, Mr. Bayerd also worked as an investment banker with the Los Angeles office of Deutsche Bank. Mr. Bayerd has an M.B.A from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Business Economics with a minor in Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles.



Ulrik Binzer

Ulrik Binzer

Ulrik Binzer joined Golden Gate Capital in 2005. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Binzer worked as an Analyst in the Corporate Finance Practice of McKinsey & Company in New York. Mr. Binzer was also previously a Junior Consultant at Ementor Denmark A/S and before them he served as an Officer in the Danish Army. Mr. Binzer has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar) and a B.S.in International Business from Copenhagen Business School.

Josh Cohen joined Golden Gate Capital in 2009. At Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Cohen focuses on transactions in several sectors including retail, restaurants, direct marketing and consumer products. Prior to joining Golden Gate, Mr. Cohen worked as a Vice President at Sun Capital Partners. Prior to Sun Capital, Mr. Cohen worked at Audax Private Equity and Morgan Stanley in the mergers and acquisitions group. Mr. Cohen graduated magna cum laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dan Haspel joined Golden Gate Capital in 2005. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Haspel worked as an Associate Consultant in the Boston office of Bain & Company. Mr. Haspel has a B.A. in Mathematics with High Honors from the University of Virginia (Phi Beta Kappa).

Ryan McClendon joined Golden Gate Capital in 2006. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. McClendon worked as a Business Analyst in the Los Angeles office of McKinsey & Company. Mr. McClendon has a B.S. in Economics and Mechanical Engineering from Yale University (summa cum laude; Phi Beta Kappa).



Jim Rauh

Jim Rauh

Jim Rauh joined Golden Gate Capital in 2009. At Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Rauh focuses primarily on private equity investments in the financial services sector. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Rauh was with JLL Partners, a New York based private equity firm. Previously, Mr. Rauh was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan. Mr. Rauh has a B.A. in Economics and Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences from Northwestern University (summa cum laude; Phi Beta Kappa).

Dave Thomas joined Golden Gate Capital in 2006. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Thomas worked as a Senior Associate Consultant in both the Chicago and London offices of Bain & Company. Mr. Thomas has a B.B.A in Finance from the University of Notre Dame (summa cum laude).

Kevin Campos joined Golden Gate Capital in 2008. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Campos worked as an Associate Consultant in the Los Angeles office of Bain & Company. Mr. Campos has a B.A. in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University.

Christopher Child joined Golden Gate Capital in 2008. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Child worked as an Associate Consultant in the Boston office of Bain & Company. Mr. Child has an S.B. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a member of the varsity Swimming and Water Polo teams.

Marcello Pantuliano joined Golden Gate Capital in 2009. At Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Pantuliano focuses on public equity investments across a range of sectors. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Pantuliano worked as an investment banker in the San Francisco office of Bank of America's Real Estate Investment Banking Group. Mr. Pantuliano was also previously associated with Alesco Global Advisors, a REIT focused hedge fund and mutual fund group. Mr. Pantuliano has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
